hello world!

AS1530.4 FRL/FRR
Fire Resistance Testing

Fire TS Laboratory is accredited to conduct fire resistance tests in compliance with AS1530.4 - Methods for fire tests on building materials, components and structures. Part 4: Fire resistance tests for elements of construction.

Through the years of work, the laboratory's team have undertaken a multitude of fire resistance tests in accordance with the sections of AS1530.4

Certification Testing

An endorsed/certification report is issued based on the undertaken test whether full scale or pilot scale - dependent on the testing prototype. The report format is strictly compliant with AS1530.4 guidelines; issued with IANZ & ILAC MRA endorsement and signed by an IANZ signatory. Such a report is a valid document that identifies FRL/FRR (fire resistance level/rating) of elements in construction and officially accepted by industry regulators.

Endorsed report issuance in 2 weeks’ time after the test.

Research Testing

Pilot/full-scale research testing on building materials, components and systems can be completed to evaluate their performance as a part of the R&D process prior to the endorsed testing. The results of the research test are compiled as raw data in Excel.

The raw data of the sponsored research testing provides valuable insights into the system performance deficiencies (if any) and assists with the direction of further research effort. It also gives a higher level of confidence to the sponsor during the endorsed testing stage.
