Shane is an active contributor to the ongoing transformative changes within the Passive Fire Industry of New Zealand.

One of Shane’s main aspirations is to restore trust in safe building practices in New Zealand.

As the Chairperson of the Coatings Working Group, appointed by Fire Protection Association New Zealand, he is leading a team of experts, who compiled the industry Code of Practice for the specification and application of Intumescent Coatings on structural steel.
